Neville Hoskin takes team to Australia but lead up has been frustrating in 1983

Seventeen days of tennis was in store for these youngsters from the John Griffin tennis team and they had all been coached by Neville Hoskin of the Waihopai Tennis Club.
It is the fifth team that Hoskin has coached and taken to Australia, but the first for ten years.
The team will take part in at least four tournaments but before this they have a couple of days of intensive training.
Hoskin was realistic about where his team is at and although they will struggle with the competition he knows they will benefit from the experience.
Hoskin said it is hard work trying to coach tennis in Southland with no indoor facility as the last five weeks had been washed out due to weather.
