Max Langshaw (Australia) wins silver sash at Invercargill cycling in 1960....

​Max Langshaw, the Australian cyclists won the silver sash for the third time at Invercargill's Kew Bowl and beat his fellow countryman, Cliff Burville. Langshaw started cycling in 1957 and was selected to compete in the 1962 Commonwealth games in Perth.  He won a gold medal for the 4000 m pursuit.  
Langshaw obtained his commercial pilot and instructor's licence in 1969.  Ray Alcock won the bronze for the second time by three lengths from Ken Borland.   Alcock and Graham Sycamore were involved in a accident but no serious damage was done.
