Uncle Nev's Flat 2/40 Fulton St.

Watson Mortimer's most vivid memory of Uncle Neville McCorkindale was Sundays in the early 1980's

 Nev was big on Technology and was one of the first to have a VCR (he actually had a BETA player first, but NZ was never fast enough to embrace the technology). Nev had recorded a number of classic Movies (including “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and “Guns of Naverone” on his VCR ,even managing to cut out the adds and therefore had one of the best Video collections outside of the Video Store on the corner of Fox and Dee St. Back then, The Pubs and Bottlestores where shut on a Sunday. Nev would either come out and pick up Ted (Or May of stayed the night on Saturday, Sleeping in the old yellow Hut) and take Ted back to his place to watch movies and drink a Flagon or Two (Filled up at the White House Bottle Store the Day Before). Mum and I would head in later in the afternoon to pick Ted up and watch the last of the movie. We often would have Californian Fried Chicken (now the Bike Shop) for Dinner and would fight over the crumbed Mushrooms and Sweetbreads.
