Brigadiers beat Ngawai at netball in 1983.  But it was not until the second half that they looked like they were going to win 26-16.  It was only the pressure from the Brigadiers defence of Pam Egan and Sue Pomare that slowed the Ngawai team down.

Ngawai's goal attack Pixie Raurima had a good game but she could not do it on her own. All four shoots had a good game, considering the conditions. especially Teresa Panagiotidis who showed her ball skills and general athletic ability.

Robyn Arnold played a solid game for Makarewa against United in 1983.....

United's experience and skills were too much for Makarewa which saw the former team win 33-16.  But Makarewa were not going down without a fight and they showed glimses of brillance, if only they had of kept it up for the full 40 minutes.
Centre Robyn Arnold played a good game with United's Robyn Broughton showing her experience and skill.

Carol Watson played well to try and keep her team in the game in 1983.....

St Mary's only managed to beat Brigaiders B 25-21 and it was only the defenders for St Mary's Kaye Wynn and Diane Reefman that kept the opposition at bay.
Goal shoot for Brigadiers, Carol Watson had a good game, as did Lynne McKenzie for St Marys, she was the key player that used a good netball head to keep her team just in front.
St Mary's Linda De Ruyter also had a good game and used her long reach to make it hard for the Brigadiers to get the ball past her.
