Playing their best game to date St Mary's won over Stuarts.  The match would have been a lot closer if Stuarts had actually put away their attempts.  St Mary's won the game 25-5.
St Mary's shoots, the Fahey sisters were not up to their usual high standard of shooting in the first half of their game, although their play up to the post was quick and well timed.  The Stuarts defence gave the St Mary's trio some stiff opposition at times with some enterprising play from V Calvert and B. Matthews.  Just before haltime Stuart's first goal was scored by K. Cunningham, a promoted third grader, who play was an outstanding feature of the game.  She played well against the tall St Mary's defenders and looks a promising player for the future.  Making her first appearance for St Mary's was S Stewart who teamed well with P. Williams and N. Cruickshank in defence. E. Ellis played a good game for Stuarts in the centre and B. Black showed her best form this year.  From a lead of 11-1 at halftime St Mary's always kept ahead.
Collegiate had the upper hand in their match against High School and the play remained bright and entertaining throughout.  The ball passed cleanly and swiftly through Collegiate's goal, where N.McKinnon, S Clyma and A. Sinclair were an excellent combination.  Some outstanding goals were scored by N. McKinnon, whos neat footwork and intelligence added interest to the match.  High school players were not up to their usual form and the half-time score was Collegiate 16 High School 5.
