On the other side of the draw, the other international, Steve Wilson was taken to s three sets  by Michael Lindsay in what was a thrilling game.
The final played between Nigel Skelt and Steve Wilson was hard fought with both players not giving an inch.
In the first game Skelt  actually got to thirteen first but it was Wilson that got home in the set 5-2.
Skelt raced a head in the second set and kept up the pressure on Wilson's backhand. It was here that Wilson's international experience showed by breaking a shuttle which meant he could take a break.  This gave him time to take heed of himself and when play resumed he was a different player.  With the score tied at 10-10 and long rallies there was nothing in it.
At 12-12 Skelt got cramp and this is where Wilson took advantage wrap the game up.
The women's singles went to Mrs Lynne Roy who managed to beat her sister, Mrs D. Southby in straight sets.
It was the formidable combination of the Skelt brothers that beat Michael Lindsay and Steve Wilson on the final 15-11, 15-11.
The women doubles was also won by two siblings where Roy and Southby beat Jill Larsen and Barbara Lindsay 15-5, 15-4.
Lynne Roy won her third third title of the night when she teamed up with Nigel Skelt  to beat Barbara Lindsay and Peter Skelt, 15-5, 15-11.
In the U18 event P. Gulaskharam was the most successful player winning the singles from S. McRory in straight sets and then partnered with him to beat K. Maxwell and N. Wilson in the doubles.  Gulaskharam did it again in the mixed doubles when he and T. Bennett beat S. McRory and Philippa Muir.
In the girl's double P. Barnes and Philippa Muir beat Leigh Skelt and J. Thompson.
