McKenzie won New Zealand skeet shooting champs for fourth time.

J. McKenzie of Seaward Downs considers Hamilton his happy hunting ground in skeet shooting.  In 1963 he won the New Zealand skeet shooting championships for the 4th time.  He won in Hamilton in 1957, 1959 and 1961.
He has won eight national titles and won the Australian championships once in 1949.

A field of 110 shooters lined up for the 50-target shot championships and after seven rounds there were only seven competitors left.
In the second round all these shooters missed, except for McKenzie. This left him the outright winner for 1963.
The winner of the 1962 championships, Mr A.J.C. Donald of Otahuti, partnered McKenzie to win the two man team championships for the fourth year in a row.  Donald's score of 27 added to McKenzie's possible which produced an aggregate of 97.  
This was one better than the second place getters of R. W. and C. F. Gunn, Fernhill, Hawkes Bay.
The Gunn's were also runner up to Donald and McKenzie last year.
