Marist to meet Woodlands in Section B final......

A tighthead to Marist right under the posts was the difference to beat Bluff 10-9 to go through to the final of Section B.  
Bluff missed their big lock Tony Armstrong in the lineouts.
Marist looked the most dangerous when their forwards were on song and Peter Hughes worked hard all day to ensure this.
After nine minutes, the Marist forwards secured a good scrum, won the ball and spun it through the backs for Steve Heffernan to score.
Gary Bennetts kicked the conversion.
For Bluff Terry Dixon, Jeff Mead and John Edminston played good loose football and drove constantly, Mead secured the ball and passed to Dixon who scored and Willy Calder converted.
The score at half time was 6-6.  After 23 minutes Paddy O'Brien found the gap and scored, Bluff fought back to kick a penalty goal but it was not till the 38th minute that Marist scored again from the tighthead.
