Ohai-Nightcaps wrapped up the Central Western competition in 1983 with a huge win over Drummond at Nightcaps.
Paul Laidlaw was in devastating form for O-N as he dotted down 4 tries and had a hand in many more.
Billy Molloy was not going to be outnumbered and managed to score 3 tries against a weak defence from Drummond, which had  no answer to the waves of attack coming at them.

LIMEHILLS V OTAUTAU
Limehills scored the upset that week when they beat Otautau 14-12 on the property of Ken Lindsay.  Both teams managed three tries, with fullback, Ross Mangels kicking the winning points.
Limehills forwards comprising of Keith Finn, Michael Riordan, Maitland Leith and Neil Collie dominated to feed their backs good ball.  Trevor Wilson played on the wing, coming out of retirement for the game.
