Judy Clark key player in Rata A's big win over Bluff in 1986.....

Rata A thrashed Bluff in the 1986 Invercargill netball senior championship.  Rata A completely dominated the game right through the court and the shoots put everything up that came their way. Their confidence grew as the game went on and they seemed to enjoy being given the freedom to do what they wanted. 

Judy Clark not only moved beautifully in the circle and made it easy for her forwards to feed but with her shooting average at 78% it was one of the best of the days netball.
She was ably supported by goal attack, Fiona Ward, wing attack, Debbie Angus and centre Sharalyn Rodan.  The defence line for Rata A of Moira Gerken and Deidre Heenan also took many intercepts and picked up a lot of loose ball.  They sent it back down to shoots at a fast pace.
Woodlands V Rata B.  This game never reached the heights that was expected and Woodlands looked like they were lacking a bit of spark.  However, Woodlands took the initiative after being down 10-2 at quarter time and the two defenders, Fiona McKenzie and Carolyn Wyeth put a combined pressure on Rata B goal shoot, Heather McHugh, who had a great stat of 79%.
