John Maniapoto scores last minute try for Marist to beat Greenroofs in Ellis Cup Rugby League game 1983..........

Marist came from behind to beat Greenroofs in the Ellis Cup rugby league championship in 1983.....

In the first 30 minutes it was all Greenroofs, but once Marist hit their hobbles they were unstoppable.  It was a last minute try from John Maniapoto which gave Marist the win.
Marist players to be recognised were:  P. Thompson, G. Warren, J. Terry and P. Warren.

Leopards beat Warriors 30-20 in rugby league game in 1983......

Leopards, the current leaders beat Warriors 30-20.  Leopards started well and got an easy 20 points on the board before Warrior showed any signs of being on the field.
They came back aggressively in the last quarter of the game and Leopards looked a tad worried.  The spectators really enjoyed the running rugby.
