Does anyone remember when the Freezing Works rugby was big in the 1970/80's.  In 1976
The final between Finegand and Ocean Beach was awaited with anticipation as both sides had quality players.
Ocean Beach struggled to beat Finegand 4-3 in the first round but should be confident in the final with some of their players in the senior competition in Invercargill.
Stewart Fleming, the Ocean Beach loose forward was strong for them last year but an illness sidelined him and he has come back and has the speed, class and skill to become a player of the future.
Old Boy's forwards John Gage and John Taumata, along with Bluff's Bill Kini will give the pack plenty of power and then with half-back Geoff Calder and winger, Mana Davis who can be a match winner if things pan out for him.  Finegand will be worried about these players.
