Welcome to Yacck - we hope you have great pleasure in reading the stories from the past and would love you to make positive comments for everyone to enjoy. The Yacck Team.
The National Darts final was held in Invercargill in 1976. Dale Frampton beat Graham de Garnham in the South Island singles in the previous weeks and the New Zealand squad was going to be named after the finals that year.
The North Island team came down to Southland with a strong side with approx six New Zealand representatives and also included Dick Southern, who had been a New Zealand rep, was single champion in 1985 and was runner up in the 1985 North Island tournament.
Also included in the North Island team were John Wilkie, Murray Smith, Ian Hastie, Jim Smith and Bill Rose. All of those players were current or past New Zealand reps with Ian Hastie having shifted from Gore to the North Island.
The Southland team consisted of Dale Frampton, Graham de Garnham, Waka Moses, Ian Hogg and Lex Turner.
