Edgar Potter has role in James Hargest High Schools production in 1983....

James Hargest High School presented the "Pohutukawa Tree" in 1986 and it was the first time the school had staged a New Zealand play.

The cast in Bruce Mason's play is Queenie Mataira -  Paula Cameron, Ray McDowell -  Gregory Versalke, Rev Athol  Sedgwick -  Alastair Hercus, Aroha Mataira - Trudy Henderson, Johany Mataira - Ian Pottinger, Mrs Atkinson - Debbie MacLaren, Sylvia Atkinson - Judith Varga
Clive Atkinson - Allan Larsen, George Rawlings - John Fell, Dr Lomus - Maurice Halder,
Claude Johnson - Edgar Potter, Seargent Robinson - David Rodgers.
The play was directed by Jonathon Tucker.

The Story:
"The Pohutukawa Tree" is a story about the differences between Maori and Pakeha.
